Action B1. Research and analysis of best practices at European level

The action was completed in December 2012 with the develop of:

- a survey, with the final report on communication initiatives implemented within the European ecological network to farmers;

- a study, with the final report  about the sources of funding for those working in agriculture in Natura 2000 sites.

Action B2. Preliminary investigations about the knowledge and perception of the issues related to the management of the Natura 2000 network

The action was completed in March 2012 with :

- Organization of three focus groups to identify the main key issues of Natura 2000 and its problem:

  • Roma, January 12 with representatives of the Ministry of the Environment and MIPAAF and the Departments of Agriculture and Regional Environment Central Regions south (Lazio, Basilicata, Campania, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo, Tuscany and Sicily)
  • Milano January 17, 2012 with the expert referent  of the central regions of the north (Piemonte, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Valle d'Aosta, Liguria, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, province of Trento, Bolzano)
  • Verona February 3, 2012 was held  the third focus group with eight regional representatives of Coldiretti at the Fieragricola.

- The develop oftwo surveys: the first on a sample of 2062 farms, to investigate the real knowledge of Natura 2000 inside the agricultural world. The second survey addressed to the regional administrations to verify the actions undertaken at the level of communication versus the agriculture world. Download the Final Report

Action B3. Definition of the Communication Plan

 The action was completed in April 2012.

It has been developed a Communication Plan with the aim to start the information and communication activities on the target groups. The Communication Plan identifies strategic objectives, key messages and communication modalities of the campaign, logo and graphic line Download the communication plan
